New Video! ASL Interpretation / Storytelling:
The Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center in New York City

As a holiday gift, please click on a video thumbnail below where you will be taken to a video of Avery Posner doing a complete narration about the nearly 100-feet tall Christmas Tree at the Rockefeller Center in New York City, both in spoken English, ASL and with open captions, So be sure to enjoy the narration; which is an excerpt from the ASL interpreter training DVD.

Notice the bloopers at the end of that video? Look for Gilda Ganezer, our co-founder and actress/co-director, share hilarious bloopers along with April Starks, who is an ASL interpreter/professor. Well, as teachers and human beings ourselves, we all experience blunders while interpreting and/or narrating. Its a trial and error that helps one master the use of language!

Family in Spotlight

Whenever one of us gets stressed out, as you know how difficult life can be at times, some of our friends would send us emails and/or e-gifts of encouragements/moral support with animated hearts (i.e. via Facebook) or heart-warming pictures of puppies or kittens. There is also one other thing that melts our hearts: seeing a whole family sign together, especially children and their parents using ASL to elevate communication to an higher level. We’d like sharing this awesome family from Texas who wrote us about one of our products:

“Hello,
Recently I purchased both volumes of American Sign Language for Kids and Adults for my two children through Amazon. They absolutely love them. They really respond to the animal theme and love the animal rescues. My question is do any of the other videos you have produced feature animals? If not, will you be coming out with a volume three for adults and children? My oldest and I, although both hearing, really want to be able to understand and express ourselves in Sign Language and would like to add more to our curriculum. Thank you for your time and these wonderful videos.

Morgen Becker,
Irving, Texas”

We want to thank Morgen and her children - they are one of the reasons we remind ourselves to continue in contributing our life’s work, everyday. Yes, we promise to eventually publish 3rd and 4th ASL for Kids & Adults DVD volumes and will keep you guys updated about them.

Deaf-owner Company in Spotlight

It gives us nothing but pleasure to introduce Dr. Robert Harris, a Deaf gentleman and a friend, who established Harris Communications, Inc. in 1982. Harris Communications today is one of the largest company carrying over 2,000 quality products for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing people as well as people part of the American Sign Language Community.

Dr. Harris, along with Dave Motes and Kassy Worm, two amazing people working at Harris Communications, are the reason other Deaf-owned companies, such as ourselves, get opportunities to portray work with high visibility throughout a fast-paced business world.

In fact, over this past summer and in return as a token of appreciation for their support of our work, we ordered some pizza, sodas, and cookies for their staff to munch on a casual Friday. Here are some of the pictures of people enjoying the treats - well, they deserve them.
